Partner Megan McCarthy Appointed Chair of Alabama State Bar’s Litigation Section

Ball Ball is pleased to announce that Montgomery Partner Megan McCarthy has recently been appointed Chair of the Litigation Section of the Alabama State Bar by its President.

The purpose of the Litigation Section is to promote the objects of the Alabama State Bar within the field of litigation law not assigned by the Board of Bar Commissioners of the Alabama State Bar to any other Section or to a Committee or Task Force of the Alabama State Bar.

As noted in her bio at the request of the Alabama District Court Judges Association, Megan authored District Court Trial and Evidence Practice Pointers for publication in The Alabama Lawyer, which was a demonstration of her expertise in handling matters in that forum. She has continued a vigorous litigation practice in the fields of auto liability, bad faith defense, personal injury defense, and general insurance and construction law, trying over 180 cases in District, Circuit and Federal Courts throughout the State of Alabama with great success. Most recently, Megan conducted three jury trials of consequence in various parts of the state, resulting in two defense verdicts and a third verdict in an amount slightly less than the amount of the settlement offer her client had made in the case.

Ball Ball is very proud of Megan and her many achievements that have led to significant recognition by her peers and clients.
